To get some time outdoors in the countryside, we found a well-marked trail near Murviels-les-Béziers, that twisted up the side of a commanding hill (Sentier Pech)to an ancient Roman campsite, then came around the hill past vineyards, olive tree stands, providing lovely views across the adjoining valley. We hiked the 2-3 mile circuit trail after a good lunch in Portiragne.
