Montpellier is the regional capital of Languedoc, and after a half hour drive there we found a lovely city with a major park housing museums, theaters, walking paths, and more. Our targets were a show of paintings by the German Expressionist, Emile Nolde, and a show of Spanish photography installed in the Gallerie Photo, adjacent to the Fabre. Both exhibits were quite impressive.
